What can I say but the last few weeks have been incredibly busy!
Now, I'm not saying I don't love a demanding challenge when it comes to work, but it seemed like all of my projects decided (without checking with me first) to change course and share the same deadlines. And we are not talking about a simple little "fixer upper" but big, multi-page, NEW branding types of jobs. I know that there's some fluidity needed to make things go, so charge I went (albeit, the thing that lost was sleep). All in all, outcomes were very good, or at least where they should be. Will post some of those new works when they are completed.
Now, back tracking a few weeks ago, I did take one day for myself (and family) to trekk down to San Francisco for the 2nd Annual SF Renegade Craft Fair at Fort Mason. And WHAT AN AWESOME TIME THAT WAS!!!! A little stop at Green's for lunch (YUM!) and off we went!
I probably won't post pics of my new lovelies, but rather mention the great new finds that I scored while gliding through all the fabulous creative vendors! Totally inspiring, especially since I've been put in charge to help retool and market the Napa Wine & Crafts Fair. New website on that one to come...We are trying our best to redefine it—similar to the Renegade Craft Fair, but more Napa-centric. If you can mark your calendars...Sept. 12, 2009 is the date...come on down to Napa Downtown on First St. We are really gearing up for 2010's event to be bolder, hipper, greener, younger, and more fun: under the umbrella WINE & CRAFTS! So, if you are the early planner - mark your calendars for around that time in 2010!
Anyway...Here are just a handful of peeps that got my fancy at the Renegade Fair!
You can't go wrong with anything these artists have! (And I am so glad I was there early Saturday to snag some of their stuff!)

Fabulous polaroid style imagery. I got a pair of the 6x6 photo boxes (black bear on peanut jar" and "deer & vines" from the little zoo series).

Debby Weiss, ultra-cool/hip mom who started her fashion business with daughter Hillery Sproatt creating sacs, accessories and apparel. The cute and adorable dress I picked up (named "Rose Dress") is an insane mix-match of fabrics and colors using vintage Japanese fabrics—ultra cool and bohemian, but chic which I love!

This was one of the first people that caught my eye! Beth VanDusen creates the most beautiful line of jewelery inspired by nature where she presses foliage into sterling silver to get an impression. Delicate. Organic. Modern. I couldn't decide between two, so I got both....doh! One in particular combines silver with wood which I love! (Love 'em! and her line!)

Molly has taken "wood" to a whole new level. Modern jewelry laser cut from wood. Sooo many to choose from, but this one stroke my fancy. I also snabbed a beautiful print...
