offend a mommy blogger at your own peril!
this is what happened when McNeil Consumer Healthcare's new ad campaign for Motrin.
the offense? an online ad aimed at moms who, the ad surmised, might need Motrin to ease back pain caused by using slings and such to carry their babies.
soon, offended bloggers flooded Twitter with anti-Motrin "tweets." wthin hours, YouTube and parent video-blogging sites like Newbaby.com were awash in pro-sling/anti-Motrin videos.
effect: motrin ad has pulled after blogging moms sling barbs at firm
for once, i am a proud mommy blogger who says "shame on you" to the big cheese (particularly since i used to work at one)
wearing your kid was a great thing that didn't cause pain - so stop putting out wrong messages that might make a new mom decide not to do this!
don't undermine the effort, valour, strength and love. . .OF A MOM!
