I'm slowly returning back to the routine of life, having spent a nice long weekend with the family in Pescadero. If you are in the BAY area, and need a soul-searching escape to a beautiful seaside luster of nature, while still close enough to escape to a rockin' dinner of sushi, then don't pass up Costanoa. We rented their log cabin and had a fabulous stay. I also got to induldge in a Dr. Hauschka Deep Tissue Arnica massage, which you will need to ask for Mary Toscano, a fabulous masseuse and founder of Healty Living (she's put out some amazing DVDs designed to empower everyone to make smart choices for healthy living).
Our little Liam had a blast, and obviously is having a grand old time with Oliver. I, of course, soaked it all up behind the lense. With an escape to Santa Cruz to walk the Board Walk, we had some fabulous sushi at Sushi Totoro (with Liam having a crush on our waitress). On our route back home, we stopped at Duarte's Tavern for breakfast—a must for everyone in the area! Their strawberry-rhubarb pie wasn't ready for the taking yet, so we bought a jar of the jam—delicious!
Of course, I'm on the hunt for our next weekend getaway. The regions of Big Sur is calling us I think.
